Hyundai Motor Co. collaborates with Meta Kongz NFT brand to plunge into the online community-based non-fungible token market. With the partnership, the South Korean automaker became the first vehicle manufacturing company to enter the said market with a website and channels on Discord and Twitter.
As per Nasdaq, the Hyundai NFT Discord and Twitter pages were launched on April 15, and its official NFT website is coming up in May. Hyundai Motor unveiled its community-based NFT by releasing a short film where its NFT universe called “Metamobility Universe” has been introduced. The Metamobility concept was actually revealed at the recent Consumers Electronics Show (CES 2022), and the short film clearly explained this to the consumers.
For the launch of its Metamobility Universe, Hyundai Motor will be releasing 30 “Hyundai x Meta Kongz” NFTs on April 20. These digital collectibles are limited edition and were made to mark the short film’s release.
Consumers should watch out for more announcements as Hyundai Motor will continue its NFT projects throughout the year. This means the automaker will keep expanding its Hyundai NFT Universe. The company said the profits from the sale of “Hyundai x Meta Kongz” NFTs would be utilized for project management and the community members.
The Hyundai NFT community aims to provide users with the kind of brand experience that Hyundai is known for but this time in the metaverse through sharing NFTs that illustrate its mobility solutions.
"The Hyundai NFT Universe will extend the Hyundai brand experience, especially with MZ generation, in a completely new way, further reinforcing our commitment to innovation in both the real world and in the metaverse," Hyundai Motor's global chief marketing officer and head of customer experience division, Thomas Schemera, said in a press release. "We are extremely excited to introduce 'Metamobility' through our own NFTs and start this journey with 'Meta Kongz.'"
With its new dedicated channels for its NFT community, Hyundai Motor will be continuously managing the asset value of its non-fungible tokens. The newly-opened online platforms will be open 24/7 to provide day and night communications between the company and the community members. People will also get real-time updates on the platforms.
