HOLLYWOOD, Fla., Oct. 03, 2017 -- NV5 Global, Inc. (the “Company” or “NV5”) (Nasdaq:NVEE), a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions, today announced that it was ranked 13th on Fortune Magazine’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies List in 2017. The top 100 three-year performers were ranked according to revenues, profits, and stock returns. NV5 was ranked among technology giants Facebook and Amazon, (#6 and #9, respectively), and well-known brands such as Grubhub (#24), Nutrisystem (#37), Skechers (#45), Ulta Beauty (#56), and Norwegian Cruise Lines (#60). A more detailed description of Fortune Magazine’s methodology is provided below. The complete list can be accessed here.
Dickerson Wright, PE, Chairman and CEO of NV5, said, “NV5 is one of only a handful of engineering companies to receive this prestigious recognition. We are honored to be featured in a respected financial publication like Fortune that is widely read by our investors and employees. NV5 has realized success by sticking to the same formula on which our company was founded: a flat organization that empowers entrepreneurial leaders in each of our service lines, growing markets with high barriers to entry, and driving stock deep into our organization so that we are all partners with a stake in NV5’s achievements. I am proud of our team and what we have accomplished so far. We have so much to look forward to in the future.”
Methodology
To qualify, a company—domestic or foreign—must be trading on a major U.S. stock exchange; report data in U.S. dollars; file quarterly reports with the SEC; have a minimum market capitalization of $250 million; and have been trading continuously since June 30, 2014. Companies must have posted an annualized growth in revenue and earnings per share of at least 15% annually over the three years. Companies that meet these criteria are ranked by revenue growth rate, EPS growth rate, and three-year annualized total return for the period ended June 30, 2017.
