Near Protocol (NEAR) saw a one-hour liquidation tally weighted heavily toward long positions across three exchanges, as its price slid 7.62% over four hours on Binance Thursday.
Liquidations across the three exchanges were heavily weighted toward longs during the hour: $2.02 million, compared with $50,000 for shorts.
At 11:05 a.m. ET (16:05 UTC) Thursday, Binance’s NEAR/USDT spot pair was at $3.70, down 7.62% from $4.00 four hours earlier. The 24-hour measure at that observation showed a 10.26% decline, 2.64 percentage points steeper than the four-hour drop. Both Binance comparisons ended at the same observation but covered different periods.
A separate live-market reading at 11:22 a.m. ET (16:22 UTC) put NEAR at $3.78, down 9.32% over 24 hours. It came 17 minutes after the Binance quote, so the rolling 24-hour periods ended at different times.
An Oct. 16 EconoTimes snapshot showed NEAR at $4.20, with a 5.64% 24-hour decline at that observation.
