Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was still awaiting Israel’s final election results Wednesday; a 61-seat total is required for a majority in the 120-member Knesset, France 24 reported.
The broadcaster said results could be available Wednesday night or Thursday morning. France 24 said Netanyahu remained short of a clear victory as final results were pending.
Netanyahu addressed supporters at the National Congress Centre at about 9 p.m. ET Tuesday (1 a.m. UTC Wednesday), France 24 reported. EconoTimes previously reported that exit polls had left the path to a governing majority unresolved in its coverage of Israel’s post-vote coalition outlook.
