‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 6, entitled “Ready”, will feature Jess getting ready to go back to dating other people. She decides to date her gym buddy upon the advice of Schmidt but it doesn’t start out well.
The synopsis for episode 6 posted on Heavy stated, “Jess (Zooey Deschanel) decides she’s ready to wade back into the dating pool, so Schmidt (Max Greenfield) prods her to take the plunge with her workout partner. Meanwhile, Cece (Hannah Simone) hires a hunky new bartender, leaving Nick (Jake Johnson) to wrestle with the concept of male beauty; Winston’s (Lamorne Morris) newfound confidence renders him irresistible.”
Things are bound to get hilarious as Jess returns to the dating world upon the advice of her friend Schmidt. The incoming episode’s promo opened with Jess exclaiming to her loft mates that she is ready to go back to dating. In order for things to work out properly, Schmidt decided to go with Jess to the gym.
In the next scene, she attempts to seduce a workout buddy, Robby (Nelson Franklin), by surprising him with a kiss. However, things don’t go too well since her surprise ends up injuring both of them.
Jess asks in concern, “Robby, are you okay?” Robby answers while blood flows down his mouth, “It hurts a lot. It felt good but then it hurts a lot.”
The two are then seen at a hospital. Robby doesn’t seem like he is harboring a grudge against Jess but she accidentally sits on his injured leg and causes him more pain.
It would be interesting to see if Jess manages to stop being so awkward around men she intends to date. Perhaps she can finally move on from Nick and find love again. By the looks of it though, it seems that she needs more practice than expected.
According to the recap of episode 5 on TV Over Mind, Jess and Nick decide to let Reagan (Megan Fox) move back in the loft after discussing their options about what to do with the spare room once newlyweds Schmidt and Cece move out in six months. Although Jess wanted to be a good friend to Nick, she is conflicted by the idea since she still has feelings for him.
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 6, entitled “Ready”, is scheduled to air on Fox on November 15, 2016.
