‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 7, entitled “Last Thanksgiving”, will feature Jess and her friends celebrating Thanksgiving festivities. However, Robby and Schmidt’s dad arrive at the party unexpected.
The synopsis for “Last Thanksgiving” posted on Spoiler TV stated, “It's Thanksgiving and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and the gang are determined to make this year's festivities a success. However, things don't go according to plan when Robby (Nelson Franklin) surprisingly shows up and Schmidt's dad (guest star Peter Gallagher) arrives heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Nick (Jake Johnson) finds out that Regan (Megan Fox) is postponing her move-in date and Winston (Lamorne Morris) deals with his "heroic" injury.”
The incoming episode will follow the arrival of two uninvited guests for Jess and the gang’s Thanksgiving festivities and this will send the celebration in a whole new direction. In the preceding episode, entitled "Ready", Jess revealed that she was ready to move on with her life and date new people. She attempted to get cozy with gym buddy Robby but things took an awkward turn for the two.
According to the recap posted on Entertainment Weekly, Jess and Robby had their first date in a themed restaurant called Birthdays where they were the only ones not celebrating birthdays. When it was time to go home, Robby wanted to lean in for a kiss but Jess only gave him a handshake.
At the gym, Jess decided to give Robby a kiss while he was lifting weights but the two only ended up injured – especially Robby. Although Robby still felt a connection after everything, Jess decided that she didn’t feel the same. While attempting to tell him, she proceeded to shatter his leg and ended the episode pretending to care for Robby at least until he heals.
Meanwhile, another unexpected guest to show up at the gang’s Thanksgiving party will be Schmidt’s heartbroken dad. It would be interesting to see how the mood shifts as soon as he enters the picture.
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 7, entitled “Last Thanksgiving”, is scheduled to air on Fox on November 22, 2016. It will be followed by episode 8, entitled "James Wonder", scheduled for November 29.
