WASHINGTON, March 15, 2016 -- GovLoop and Young Government Leaders (YGL) are proud to announce that nominations are open for the 6th Annual NextGen Public Service Awards.
Since 2010, the Awards have recognized exemplary public sector leaders for their dedication to improving and invigorating government.
Past winners and finalists represent exemplary government projects: from a Product Manager who built the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s award-winning innovation initiative, IdeaBox, to a Director in the State of Utah who created a collaborative approach to managing workforce services.
“We are excited to recognize the important and often unappreciated work of public servants throughout the nation. They all have inspiring stories and we are proud to share them,” said GovLoop Founder and Chief Executive Officer Steve Ressler.
Government employees can nominate their coworkers online until April 15.
Finalists* will receive free VIP passes to the Next Generation of Government Training Summit taking place August 1-2 in Washington, D.C. At the training they will join over 700 inspirational government employees to hone leadership, change management and communication skills to advance their career.
Finalists and winners will be recognized at the Public Service Awards ceremony on the second day of the summit.
Bonus: When you submit a nomination, you will receive a promo code to get $110 off the registration price for the Next Generation of Government Training Summit!
* A panel of government leaders will review and vote on finalists. Finalists will be notified in May.
