Nissan India is hiring over 1,000 people to work on the third shift in its plant to reduce the waiting period for the compact SUV Nissan Magnite to two to three months.
The Magnite is termed the most successful product launched by Nissan so far, having recorded 32,800-plus bookings and 1,80,000-plus inquiries since its December 2, 2020 launch.
Sinan Ozkok, president, Nissan Motor India, noted that they have also reinforced their dealer network.
Nissan is offering Magnite at the introductory price for all its variants.
Rakesh Srivastava, managing director of Nissan Motor India, described the launch of the all-new Nissan Magnite as a "colossal milestone" due to the overwhelming response with a record level of bookings.
