LAKE MARY, FL, Feb. 20, 2018 -- VUCA Health announced today that the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP), recognized as the essential organization representing pharmacy in North Carolina, has endorsed MedsOnCue video library service. NCAP will leverage the solution to provide members with medication counseling videos containing comprehensive information on medications through a convenient, digitally-accessible method.
“The advanced approach used by VUCA to enable accurate and reliable medication information delivery is essential to improving the lives of those we serve. The MedsOnCue video service allows pharmacists to ensure patients have on-demand access to easy-to-understand information and serves as an excellent patient care resource to augment the medication education provided by the pharmacist,” said Dr. Penny Shelton, Executive Director for the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists. “It is our hope that pharmacists in all patient care settings will look to solutions such as MedsOnCue to advance innovative approaches toward the ultimate goals of improved patient safety and health.”
MedsOnCue offers pharmacy providers and patients access to a robust library of medication-specific video briefings that deliver current information on top-prescribed medications, including proper usage, expected benefits and potential side effects. Available in English and Spanish, videos also include demonstration videos on how to use certain medications like inhalers, drops and injections. The MedsOnCue experience in its entirety can be viewed on any Internet connected device and is delivered on behalf of the patient’s pharmacy.
“With the support of pharmacy associations like NCAP, our mission to continuously enhance medication use and the quality of life for patients is expanded and invigorated,” said VUCA Health CEO David Medvedeff, PharmD, MBA. “NCAP is lauded for their legislative advocacy, educational offerings, and a variety of programs and resources that support all practice settings and we are honored that they have recognized VUCA’s MedsOnCue solution, which aligns closely with their mission to unite, serve and advance the profession of pharmacy for the benefit of society.”
