Students are looking to make well-informed decisions quickly so they can resume their studies and their lives without having to worry about the future,” said Adam Smith, Husson University’s director of undergraduate admissions.” That’s why we’ve instituted 24-hour reviews to help these students get the information they need right away."
Students who email their transcripts to Smith at [email protected] will receive transfer credit approval within 24 hours. With this information in hand, Mount Ida students will know exactly how many credits Husson University will accept. “That’s vital information students and parents can use to make an informed educational choice,” Said Smith.
In addition, students who complete their application and send it in, along with their transcript, will be notified within 24 hours of their admission status. This gives students the option to lock into a new University to complete their degrees within days. Husson University accepts up to 90 transfer credits making it a more feasible option for Mount Ida students heading into their senior year. Husson also offers of a variety of on campus housing options, including brand new townhouses, on an accelerated basis. “Less than one-year old, our townhouses are a great and convenient way for a group of friends to live together,” said Pamela Kropp-Anderson, Husson University’s dean of student life. “That can lead to improved academic performance. Students have some terrific dining options. They can prepare their meals in their own townhouse kitchens, or they can sign up for a campus meal plans with dining services.”
Husson is committed to helping Mount Ida students make a successful transition if they choose to attend the University. Director of Admissions Smith remarked, ““When I first stepped onto the Mount Ida campus as part of their Transition College Fair, you couldn’t help but feel for the students who were given such short notice of the closing. Despite that, their positive outlook in moving forward quickly changed the atmosphere to a very engaging and warm environment. The students and the admissions staff who are helping students to find another institution, should be commended for their perseverance in a difficult set of circumstances. We want to help Mount Ida students land on their feet and finish what they started. The sooner we hear from them, the sooner we can help them enroll in classes and obtain a spot in campus housing for the fall.”
