EDISON, N.J., March 01, 2018 -- Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters is pleased to announce that David Haines has been elevated to the role of Assistant Executive Secretary-Treasurer and William Banfield has been promoted to New York State Regional Manager.
John Ballantyne will continue to proudly serve in the role of NRCC’s Executive Secretary-Treasurer (EST). The position has been vacant since 2015 when Ballantyne was promoted to his current role as EST.
“Over the course of the last several years, our Council has grown significantly in both our membership and in the States that we represent,” said Ballantyne. “As we continue to grow, we want to ensure that our Council meets the demands of our members and these staff changes will help us to meet these growing demands.”
In his new role, Haines will provide support to the office of the EST and assume several important functions. He will serve as a liaison between our Council and the new Carpenters Benefit Services, Inc. (CBSi). The CBSi was recently established to more effectively manage all benefit funds under one administrative umbrella. Dave will also take on a more detailed role in the financial operations of the Council and will continue to supervise the Research Department.
Haines served as the Northwest New York Regional Manager since 2011 when the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters merged with the New Jersey Regional Council of Carpenters. He is a 35-year member and while at Empire State Regional Council served as the Fund Manager for the South Central Funds. Dave is also the 1st Vice President for the NRCC and Trustee to numerous carpenter benefit funds.
Banfield, a 31-year member of the UBCJA, has served in the role of Southeast New York Regional Manager since the 2011 merger. In addition to his expanded role with the Council, Bill is second Vice President for the NRCC and Trustee on the Northeast Carpenters Funds.
William Sproule, NRCC President and New Jersey Regional Manager, and Robert Naughton, Tri-State Regional Manager, will continue to provide effective leadership in their current roles.
