At 8 p.m. ET on Nov. 6 (1 a.m. UTC on Nov. 7), crypto deposits and withdrawals became available again to Nubank customers in Brazil after an external-provider disruption.

Nubank attributed the interruption to instability at an outside data provider. The company said the problem was beyond its own systems and that customer assets and information stayed secure.

On Nov. 6, Mercado Pago restricted some crypto transfers from its app to external wallets. Users could still buy or sell crypto in the app.

Mercado Pago linked its disruption to a failure at a vendor handling risk checks and anti-money-laundering screening. It said deposits arriving from outside could take longer to appear, with amounts credited automatically once service returned.

Nubank's update concerns restored deposits and withdrawals; Mercado Pago's reported limits applied to transfers leaving the app. Trading inside both apps remained available during the disruptions.

The resumption updates EconoTimes' earlier report on transfer limits at both platforms.
