Meta’s effort to finance AI infrastructure has drawn a planned $3 billion share purchase from Nvidia, which is also expanding its work with Meta on the Muse AI agent.
Nvidia disclosed its planned purchase Tuesday, providing a company-specific figure absent from Meta’s Oct. 26 filing. Meta said Nvidia, Advanced Micro Devices and Broadcom had expressed nonbinding interest in buying up to $5 billion of its Class A shares combined. The filing did not assign an amount to any one company.
Meta announced Oct. 26 that it planned to raise an initial $35 billion through underwritten public equity offerings. It also plans to raise another $60 billion through an at-the-market program, bringing the proposed total to $95 billion. Meta said the fundraising would support investment in AI infrastructure.
The companies plan to deepen their work on Muse. Nvidia also said Meta would expand deployment of Vera Rubin and Vera CPU technology. The plans build on a multiyear infrastructure relationship the companies described in February, covering Meta’s data centers and AI operations.
Meta expects capital spending of $135 billion to $145 billion in 2026, a forecast it disclosed alongside its financing plans.
