Nvidia’s market capitalization reached $5.02 trillion in an early U.S. trading snapshot Tuesday, putting it about $280 billion ahead of Apple as the companies’ shares moved in different directions.

The 3.11% advance took Nvidia stock to $208.34 and its market value to $5.02 trillion. Apple’s corresponding figures were $326 per share, down 3.64%, and a $4.74 trillion valuation.

The difference between the rounded company values was about $280 billion. That reading placed Nvidia at the top of U.S. market-value rankings, though later trading could change the order before the close.

The snapshot reflects prices before Tuesday’s U.S. market close and does not establish either company’s closing valuation. It captures a point-in-time comparison, with Nvidia rising and Apple falling in the same early-session reading.

An EconoTimes Oct. 30 snapshot of Nvidia’s shares and market value previously tracked both measures.
