OKX Web3 has opened a public beta of onchain spot and perpetual markets based on Exchange OS, a framework intended to help developers and institutions build trading venues on X Layer.
OKX has announced Exchange OS as a framework for three types of markets: spot, perpetual and outcome. OKX said the public beta launched Oct. 15 and is open in its app for simulated trading with free, nonwithdrawable XP.
A separate XIP-Exchange OS proposal outlines how developers could gain access to modular trading tools and shared liquidity in stages. They would be able to use those resources to create markets on X Layer under the proposal.
The proposed access concerns developers, while the broader Exchange OS framework is intended for both developers and institutions.
