Ogun State plans a Nov. 12, 2026, groundbreaking for a 450-hectare Lee Group manufacturing park intended to host 29 factories near a major transport corridor.

The state announcement places the development along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, near Makun Village and the Sagamu Interchange. The industries it lists range from packaging and plastic goods to footwear, leather, personal-care products and household items. Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation’s event feed lists Gov. Dapo Abiodun for the ceremony. The state describes 29 factories on 450 hectares; Lee Group’s website gives a separate land estimate of more than 400 hectares across three economic zones in Ogun State.

A promotional item published by Premium Times on Nov. 1 describes a $1.8 billion project and says it could house more than 29 factories. It also projects more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs. It also forecasts business for local suppliers and service providers. Its list of planned facilities includes warehouses, truck parking, utilities, banks and shopping malls.

Lee Group’s website lists $3 billion as the park’s expected gross development value. The site says construction was scheduled to start in 2025. Lee Group describes itself as Hong Kong-based and reports more than 80 factories in Africa and more than 26,000 employees worldwide.

TheCable reported in September 2025 that Lee Group planned a separate $50 million expansion in Ogun involving detergent production and two export-oriented food factories. That announcement did not identify the industrial park as the destination for the funding. The Nov. 12 groundbreaking is the next scheduled milestone.
