Oil in Global Economy Series: South Korea and U.S. to hold preparatory summit ahead of Trump-Kim meeting

A meeting is scheduled between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean Supreme leader Kim Jong-Un this Friday and after these talks, South Korea is set to hold another preparatory summit with the United States by mid-May, before the main event takes place, where President Trump is expected to meet Kim Jong-Un. The news has been confirmed by the South Korean Presidential office on Wednesday.

According to reports, President Moon is to brief President Trump on the latest developments after his meeting with the North Korean leader.  In Recent remarks praised Kim Jong-Un by calling him ‘honorable’, which is a complete U-turn from his previous rhetoric, where he called Kim, ‘little rocket man’.
