Netflix’s coming-of-age dramedy is confirmed to have its second season premiere this month, but the streaming service company has yet to announce a specific date. Fans are eagerly waiting for “On My Block” season 2 to arrive mostly because they want to find out whether Ruby (Jason Genao) and Olivia (Ronni Hawk) will live.
A few weeks ago, Netflix confirmed that “On My Block” season 2 was given a March release date. However, the first week of the month is almost over without further announcements leaving fans to speculate on its exact premiere schedule.

There are several possibilities for the specific release date of “On My Block” season 2. Fans might have noticed that Netflix usually releases new seasons of its original series exactly on or close to when a previous installment premiered.
In this case, the first season of “On My Block” came out on Friday, March 16, 2018. This means that one of the possibilities is for “On My Block” season 2 to drop within the second week of the month. However, if that is the plan, there is not much time for Netflix to promote the show considering that a trailer has not been released yet as of this writing.
Netflix might maintain a Friday premiere for “On My Block” season 2. Inverse also pointed out that the entertainment company has shown a preference for a Friday release date even for other original series. This could mean either a March 22 or a March 29 premiere date is also possible.
Going to the “On My Block” season 2 spoilers, the series will certainly pick up from the tragic shooting of Ruby and Olivia carried out by Latrelle (Jahking Guillory) on the night of the latter’s Quinceañera. To this point, there is no definitive clue that tells if they both survive or if only one of them comes out of this ordeal alive.
The season 1 finale ended on a major cliffhanger, though. One of the final scenes showed two ambulances obviously carrying Olivia and Ruby. However, the second vehicle turned off its emergency lights long before reaching the hospital that might be suggesting that one of them could be pronounced dead in “On My Block” season 2.
