CHANDLER, Ariz., Feb. 04, 2016 -- OnTrac is celebrating their silver anniversary this month. The company started with a service area of one state delivering eleven packages on the first night to being the largest regional package delivery company in the United States. It has been exactly twenty-five years since the dock doors first opened and packages were first delivered in California. The overnight service was added in 1991 to an already established messenger service, which created California Overnight. A lot of change has occurred since then, including an expanded service area from one state to a total of eight, which led to a name change in 2008 from California Overnight to OnTrac. Other features that have molded OnTrac to be a top choice as an express shipping alternative is the USPS Package Consolidation Service called DirectPost, which OnTrac was the first regional carrier to offer this service. Among other benefits like being a SmartWay Transport Partner, a USPS Workshare Partner and partnerships with over thirty different multi-carrier software providers.

OnTrac President Rob Humphrey said, “It is with a great sense of pride that OnTrac has grown to providing overnight delivery services to over 60 million consumers in the eight western states.”
This month we are commemorating this milestone by joining efforts with the American Cancer Society to find a cure. On February 25th, 2016, OnTrac is hosting a Relay For Life event at their headquarters. This will allow corporate employees to bring awareness to the cause by walking laps around the OnTrac building and raise funds through their personal fundraising pages. Following this event, each OnTrac facility will have the opportunity to join a local Relay For Life walk that is hosted by an American Cancer Society Community Manager. In addition to employee involvement at each event, OnTrac is making a donation to the American Cancer Society to further their research in finding a cure.
“It warms my heart that OnTrac elected to celebrate their birthday with the Official Sponsor of Birthdays by raising awareness and fighting back against the disease,” said American Cancer Society Senior Market Manager Sarah Boerner. “We’re very excited to launch the OnTrac Relay For Life event and to welcome OnTrac employees at local Relay For Life events within the greater OnTrac service area.”
