‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 6 Spoilers: Lana Parilla teases Brand New Villains; Return to Land of Untold Stories

‘Once Upon A Time’ is officially renewed by ABC for season 6. Lana Parilla, who plays the Evil Queen, teased a host of brand new characters and villains to appear in the incoming season. The characters may also make it back to the Land of Untold Stories.

According to Hollywood Life, Parilla teased that the incoming season 6 is set to feature a brand new cast of characters as well as villains. She said, “The other heroes — Hook, the Charmings, and Zelena — are pulled into a portal... They get pulled into this portal and enter this new world that we haven’t seen. They’ll encounter new characters and some new villains. There’s like a patient who’s in an institution and his overbearing warden. Those are just a few characters who are going to appear in season 6 for a period of time.”

The 38-year old actress plays main character Regina Mills, the daughter of Cora and Prince Henry who would later become the Evil Queen. She is the half-sister of Zelena (Rebecca Mader), the Wicked Witch of the West, and is also stepmother to Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin).

Lead actress Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma Swan in the series, teased that these new characters will be “literary characters” during a podcast. Morrison’s Emma is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.  She is the biological mother of Henry Mills (Jared Gilmore), who calls her the Savior after arriving in Storybrooke.

Another article by The Hollywood Reporter speculated that the long-running television show could bring in more non-Disney fairytale characters after Henry was in the New York Public Library with other versions of his fairytale book showing stories like Don Quixote and Gulliver’s Travels.

Meanwhile, co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis revealed that season 6 will include flashbacks to other realms. The two teased, “The paradigm for what Season 6 will be is a little bit different than what we've done the last few years, and we're very excited by it. It involves our core group of characters, Storybrooke and flashing back to other realms."

According to Melty, season 6 may return to the Land of Untold Stories first encountered on season 5’s two-part finale. The characters Don Quixote and the Three Musketeers may very well make it back to the series at some point. It was also speculated that Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and her daughter Lily may also return.

‘Once Upon A Time’ is an American fairytale drama television series that takes place in a town called Storybrooke in Maine whose residents are fairytale characters transported to the real world with no memories of their real selves after being cursed.
