The battle that will involve Kaido is coming soon as the protagonists plan the invasion of the island where he is staying. Unfortunately, fans will face another week of hiatus which will delay the release of “One Piece” chapter 921.
After Kin’emon told an emotional story about Oden Kozuki's life and achievements, chapter 920’s ending made it clear that the alliance of protagonists is advancing their plans in defeating Orochi and Kaido. There is no dilly-dallying in their plan as they immediately aim for the island where Kaido is in “One Piece” chapter 921.
It is going to be a reunion party in “One Piece” chapter 921. After the Kozuki clan, Straw Hat Pirates, and Heart Pirates got together, the Inuarashi Musketeer Squad and Nekomamushi Guardians are expected to join them in the next episode as well.
The long-term plan for the alliance is clear — to open Wano’s borders. But to get to that, their immediate task is to hit the enemies where it hurts. Hopefully, there will not be too many filler scenes before the planned invasion finally happens in “One Piece” chapter 921.
As mentioned in chapter 920, the protagonists are planning to attack Kaido on Onigashima Island during the Fire Festival. So this is most possibly the highlight of “One Piece” chapter 921. But the battle is unlikely to conclude in a single chapter.
Meanwhile, chapter 920 seemed to have foreshadowed Zoro’s own adventure in “One Piece” chapter 921. The samurai got separated from Luffy, Kiku, and Law while traveling to Oden Castle. Many believe that he will be facing Jack the Drought on his own. Chapter 920 showed Zoro found a wharf, which he planned to approach. Is this where he will meet his next opponent?
It is also important to note that the rest of the Heart Pirates have not yet joined the alliance in their previous meetings. There are speculations that they might also face their own battle in “One Piece” chapter 921, most probably against Basil Hawkins.
Creator Eiichiro Oda announced that there will be a one-week break before the release of “One Piece” chapter 921. So instead of this coming Sunday, the next chapter will be officially released on Oct. 22.
