Based on the available info, Luffy and the gang will not be in a few more chapters as Oden’s story that is currently being featured through the flashback is still long from being over. In fact,
“One Piece” chapter 965 will show his adventures while traveling, after successfully escaping from his post in Wano. Although Kozuki Oden had a hard time leaving the city, Whitebeard finally allowed him to join his crew. This happened after WB saw how Oden saved Lady Kozuki Toki from human traffickers.

“One Piece” chapter 965 spoilers revealed that Oden will leave Whitebeard’s ship and continue to travel with Pirate King Gol D. Roger instead. The pirate heard about Oden and his adventures and developed an interest in him that he would like for them to meet. They finally get to meet, and Roger convinced Oden to leave WB and travel with him instead.
On Reddit, it was discussed that “One Piece” chapter 965 will also show more details about Toki and Oden will be interested in her because he wants to know more about the stones and the void century where Lady Toki came from. It was also suggested that Oden decided to leave Whitebeard because he is intrigued by the fact that Roger is looking for the poneglyphs and details about the void century.
Once the flashback stories about Oden, Whitebeard and Roger end, the timeline will return to the present time. This means that readers will see Luffy, Zoro, and Law again. However, as mentioned earlier, there is still quite a lot of revelations about Oden; thus, his arc will continue for a bit more.
Release date - When is the new chapter coming?
“One Piece” chapter 965 did not air last week, but the new release date is already out. As per Otakukart, it will be available on Dec. 15, but fans can already read some spoilers prior since the raw scans are set to arrive on Dec. 13.
