‘One Piece’ chapter 968: Roger’s journey ends as Oden confronts Orochi and Kaido

“One Piece” Chapter 968 is expected to feature two momentous events. The first will be Gol D. Roger finally disbanding the Roger Pirates after having completed his adventure. The second event will be Oden’s return and the inevitable clash between him and Orochi, who is now allied with Kaido.

Despite his days already being numbered, Roger still managed to embark on his last adventure with the passion and enthusiasm of a much younger man. After departing Skypiea, they went to with the shipbuilder Tom, who is known as the most skilled shipwright in the world and the one who built Roger’s flagship, Oro Jackson.

Roger Pirates later went to Fishman Island and met with Neptune in search of Poseidon only to learn from a seer that she will be born ten years later. However, their trip to the island was not entirely unsuccessful as they were able to obtain one Road Poneglyph and one that contained Joy Boy’s apology. Unfortunately, the contents of the apology were not revealed in detail and Joy Boy remains as mysterious as ever.

Contrary to previous “One Piece” speculations, Roger did not go to Big Mom’s territory to ask for her Poneglyph because someone already secured a rubbing from it. However, they had to go back to Wano to drop Toki and her kids off because she was sick with a fever. They also got the Phoneglyph that was located there.

They went to Zou to find the fourth Road Poneglyph beneath the whale tree. After getting his hands on all of the necessary Poneglyphs they finally set sail to the last island. That was when Roger became known as King of the Pirates after having conquered the Grand Line and located the last island.

But when the treasure was brought before his eyes, he just laughed. “Joy Boy I really wish I had been born in the same era as you,” Roger said. “You left behind such an unbelievable treasure! What a funny story!”

And that was who the island became known as Laugh Tale. Unfortunately, fans still do not know what the treasure was and why the pirates all laughed after finding out about it.

With Roger’s exciting adventure finally over, Oden will be returning to Wano Country. But it won’t be a pleasant return for him as what awaits him is Orochi, who has allied himself with Kaido, in a plot to bring the real Shogun down.

Of course the epic fight between Oden, who injured Kaido using the sword Enma, is bound to happen as well. However, it will not likely occur in the upcoming “One Piece” Chapter 968 just yet.
