The war that has been predicted before by Oden Kozuki is slowly taking shape after the recent events in Wano Arc. Luffy found a new ally amid all the chaos, who will likely help the Straw Hats captain in saving Momonosuke in “One Piece” chapter 986.

Chapter 985 was another notable installment as Kaido announced his real plans for Wano. Before he moves forward to making Onigashima the new Flower Capital, he intends on ending the Kozuki heritage by killing Momonosuke. As previously expected, however, Luffy has put saving Momonosuke on his to-do list, so he is most likely to make his first real attempt in “One Piece” chapter 986.
Making things more exciting is that Luffy will not be doing this alone. It can be recalled that he just met Kaido’s son, Yamato, who happens to be a die-hard follower of Oden. The last panel of chapter 985 has to be the most interesting part of this week’s installment. Yamato screaming his disgust at Kaido’s suggestion to become the shogun of “New Onigashima” while Luffy asking Yamato to show the way to the stage where Momonosuke is currently being crucified.
Someone in the background also said they should alert the Tobi Roppo. That could mean the task of saving Momonosuke in “One Piece” chapter 986 will not be an easy one event with Luffy and Yamato’s abilities combined.
Yamato has previously remarked that Luffy was holding back on his power when he encountered Ulti and Page One. At that same scene, Yamato defeated the two members of Tobi Roppo in a single attack. These scenes signal another explosive fight erupting in “One Piece,” chapter 986, with Luffy and Yamato working together. Exactly how this is going to play out could still be tricky, though since the duo would be surrounded by Kaido, Big Mom, and their subordinates.

There is a little bit of bad news about “One Piece” chapter 986 because the manga is going for another break again. The next chapter will not be available until Monday, Aug. 3. Fans outside Japan can expect the digital version of the chapter on that date through the websites and mobile apps of Manga Plus and Shonen Jump. English and other translations are also available on these platforms for free.
