The OnePlus 12R will be available in the United States, and recent leaks indicate it will be a decent option with a large battery.
OnePlus 12R Teaser Shows Off Pixel-Like Blue Color
OnePlus revealed the OnePlus 12R will be offered in North America and Europe in a "fireside chat" earlier this month. For the previous few generations, OnePlus has only offered the "R-Series" in India. To appeal to budget-conscious audiences, the sister series often takes the core design of the main flagship product and makes a few spec sheet concessions.
In the case of the OnePlus 12R, we now have a better notion of what to anticipate. Max Jambor. a leaker, just published a very complete summary of the OnePlus 12R's specifications, which include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with up to 16GB of RAM, a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Meanwhile, cameras comprise a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens that exists solely to allow these devices to be promoted as having a triple-camera system.
OnePlus 12R to Feature 5500 mAh Battery and 100W Fast Charging
The OnePlus 12R's battery, which supposedly weighs about 5,500 mAh, is perhaps the most intriguing specification given. To put things in perspective, the OnePlus 11 has a 5,000 mAh battery, which is fairly substantial by today's standards.
The OnePlus 12 has a 5,400 mAh battery. Jambor also promises 100W fast charging (wired), but there is no mention of wireless charging. Aside from that, Ishan Argawal has given a design teaser for the OnePlus 12R.
It resembles the regular OnePlus 12 but comes in black and blue colors. According to Max Jambor, the two hues are "Iron Gray" and "Cool Blue," with the blue choice looking quite similar to the "Bay" color Google offers on its latest Pixel 8 Pro.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has revealed the new "Mingsha Gold" color option for the OnePlus Ace 3, the Chinese counterpart of the OnePlus 12R, on Weibo. OnePlus has already stated that these devices will be available on January 23.
