Orchid Pharma Limited's board approved exploring a capital raise of up to Rs 600 crore, while Infosys expanded its Truist partnership, putting financing and technology work in focus for Indian investors Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Orchid's authorization covers equity shares and other eligible securities, including fully or partly convertible debentures. It could pursue a qualified institutional placement, private placement, public issue or preferential issue, subject to required approvals. The company has not fixed the amount it will seek, the securities it would issue, pricing or timing.
Infosys said the expanded collaboration will support Truist's AI-first Global Capability Center in Hyderabad. Truist intends to bring services now provided by several suppliers in India under one operating structure at the center, covering technology, data and operations. Infosys said the change is intended to reduce the U.S. bank's dependence on outside providers. The companies plan to mark the onboarding of more than 1,000 colleagues later in October.
Titan Company Limited said it paid all holders when Rs 1,000 crore in commercial paper matured Monday, Oct. 19. The securities had been issued July 21.
Schaeffler India Limited said police took CEO and Managing Director Harsha Gopal Kadam into custody Monday, Oct. 19, in an investigation into two deaths at its Talegaon factory. The workers, both employed by a service provider, died after a carbon dioxide release during a planned cylinder change on June 9, the company said. Schaeffler India said the inquiry was widened to include Kadam because of his legal role as the plant's occupier. Senior managers continue to run its operations, the company said.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (Sun Pharma) said its UNLOXCYT treatment gained a new clinical guideline recommendation for locally advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma when surgery or radiation cannot cure the disease. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network assigned it Category 2A status for this group, following the same classification for metastatic disease in 2025. Sun Pharma said the guidelines can influence insurance coverage and hospital drug lists, which can affect patient access.
Infosys is scheduled to report results for the quarter ended Sept. 30 on Friday, Oct. 23. Its earnings call is set for 8:30 a.m. EDT (12:30 UTC).
