Pakistan and Oman agreed to follow up on understandings reached during a recent visit by Oman’s foreign minister, while their top diplomats discussed regional stability and closer economic cooperation in an Oct. 28 call.

Dar spoke with Al Busaidi on Oct. 28, Pakistan’s Press Information Department said. They discussed regional affairs and restated their commitment to peace and stability, the department said.

Al Busaidi thanked Dar for the hospitality during his recent trip to Pakistan. The ministers agreed to follow up on understandings reached during that visit and to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment and energy, the department said.

Oman’s Foreign Ministry said the conversation covered relations between the two countries, regional diplomatic efforts and continued coordination on shared matters. Pakistan’s department said the ministers also emphasized regular senior-level contact as important to maintaining progress in bilateral ties.
