Kalshi’s U.S. midterm markets recorded $729 million in volume Nov. 3, Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang said, about three times the volume Kalshi recorded on a single day during the 2024 presidential election.

Huang shared the comparison in a post on X. A Washington Post analysis put pre-election trading across Kalshi and Polymarket at nearly $1.9 billion by 8 p.m. ET Nov. 2, according to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of the estimate.

The analysis attributed about $1.3 billion to Kalshi and roughly $600 million to Polymarket. Its tally covered more than 7,000 possible outcomes, including federal and state races, primaries and selected high-profile mayoral contests.

The figures cover different periods and platforms: Huang’s total was for Kalshi on Nov. 3, while the earlier estimate combined two platforms through the evening before the election.
