Frito-Lay is launching three limited-edition Lay’s flavors ahead of the Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022.
The new flavors of the PepsiCo division include Adobadas, which combines chili, tomato, and lime; Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper, a combination of jalapeño and smoky BBQ; and Wavy Carnitas Street Tacos, which delivers a taco-style pork carnitas flavor.
According to Tina Mahal, Frito Lay North America's senior vice president of marketing, with soccer being North America's fastest growing sport and snacking so intrinsically tied to home viewing, now is the perfect moment to offer their consumers new ways to heighten their Fifa World Cup experience.
She added that the new flavors are their way of providing a way to connect with fans over their love of soccer and snacks.
All flavors will be available nationwide for $4.59 per 7.75oz bag. However, Lay’s Adobadas and Lay’s Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Popper will also be available in 2.62oz bags for $2.29.
