Trading fee cashback platform TetherMax said it is stepping up its expansion into the Asian market following a rebranding initiative, appointing South Korean actor Yun Siyun as its brand ambassador and preparing a series of localized marketing campaigns.
Yun is widely known for his appearances in popular television series including “High Kick Through the Roof” and “Bread, Love and Dreams.” He has recently remained active through SBS entertainment program “My Little Old Boy” and the musical “The Days.”
TetherMax said it selected Yun based on his broad recognition and approachable image, with the aim of strengthening its connection with users across Asian markets.
TetherMax operates a cashback platform that returns a portion of trading fees generated on partner cryptocurrency exchanges to users. The company said it has official partnerships with more than 16 global crypto exchanges.
Users can connect their accounts on participating exchanges through TetherMax, after which their trading history and cashback amounts are automatically calculated. Accumulated cashback can be checked and withdrawn through the platform.
TetherMax said it operates its service through official partnerships with global exchanges, with a focus on reducing inconveniences and risks that may arise from unofficial referral arrangements.
The platform currently supports services linked to global exchanges including Binance and WOO X Pro and has operated for more than four years. According to the company, some partner services offer cashback of up to 100% of trading fees. TetherMax also operates a 24-hour customer support service.
The company has recently been running referral and trading volume promotions for users of partner exchange WOO X Pro as part of efforts to expand its reach among crypto traders in Asia.
Under the referral promotion, every distributed ticket is eligible for a prize, with the top reward set at 50,000 USDT. In the trading volume promotion, users receive one ticket for every cumulative 1 million USDT in trading volume, with the top reward valued at 100,000 USDT.
TetherMax said it plans to introduce additional promotions tailored to users in local Asian markets.
“We selected Yun Siyun as our brand ambassador to communicate a familiar and trustworthy brand image to users across Asia,” a TetherMax official said.
“We plan to roll out brand campaigns and localized marketing content featuring Yun in stages as we work to expand TetherMax’s brand awareness and trust across the Asian market,” the official added.
