CHICAGO, April 18, 2018 -- Perdue Foods, a leader in premium, branded proteins, has selected FourKites, the leading supply chain visibility and predictive analytics platform, to provide real-time temperature and location tracking of shipments across its supply chain.
“This investment in enhanced temperature monitoring and location tracking will further strengthen our commitment to customer service quality across our supply chain,” said Rich Hernandez, VP of Transportation and Warehousing, Perdue Foods.
Perdue Foods will leverage FourKites’ proprietary network of telematics device partnerships to capture the real-time temperature of refrigerated containers across North America, using FourKites Temperature. If a load temperature lands outside a pre-defined range, FourKites will automatically trigger an alert to specified team members, who can take early action to remedy potential temperature issues before freshness is jeopardized. At the same time, FourKites is providing real-time location tracking with predictive arrival times across Perdue Foods’ operations, continuously updating arrival time predictions based on GPS data. Perdue Foods’ supply chain team will use location tracking to notify customers and supply chain partners when loads are running ahead of or behind schedule.
Perdue Foods will also use FourKites Insights to identify insights on key business drivers like dwell times at delivery locations, and customer, carrier and lane analytics to proactively drive the best possible decisions.
“Perdue Foods is committed to delivering the best possible experience for consumers, retail customers, and supply chain partners,” said Mathew Elenjickal, FourKites’ founder and CEO. “We are proud to be working with this third-generation family company that is embracing technology to continue its legacy of exceptional quality.”
