Veteran trader Peter Brandt has highlighted Stellar (XLM) as a speculative “long-shot” opportunity for the next few years, citing price action and technical signals rather than cryptocurrency fundamentals.

Brandt, a prominent technical analyst with about 1.3 million followers on X, said Stellar could be worth watching for traders willing to accept significant uncertainty in exchange for potentially substantial returns.

“I do not need to understand an asset to trade it. Price is the only thing that matters to me,” Brandt said, emphasizing his chart-focused approach.

His comments come as the XLM price shows renewed strength. Stellar was trading near $0.2309 after gaining roughly 11% over 24 hours and about 28% over the previous month. Brandt stopped short of providing a specific XLM price target, framing the cryptocurrency as a speculative trade rather than a guaranteed winner.

Other technical analysts have also pointed to bullish signals. Crypto analyst Dark Defender shared an updated XLM chart on September 28, suggesting the token could have additional upside following an analysis published earlier in the month.

Beyond technical momentum, Stellar has recently gained traction through institutional adoption and real-world asset tokenization.

On September 22, Mastercard-owned BVNK integrated the Stellar network into its stablecoin payments infrastructure. The integration gives enterprise customers access through a single API to Stellar's fast, low-cost blockchain rails, supporting payments, remittances, payouts and treasury transfers across more than 130 markets.

Spectra Finance subsequently launched fixed-term markets for a tokenized Janus Henderson treasury product on Stellar. The deployment allows users to separately trade principal and yield tokens, expanding the network's role in tokenized fixed-income products and real-world assets.

These developments strengthen Stellar's positioning as blockchain infrastructure for institutional payments and tokenization rather than solely a platform for retail crypto trading.

Still, Brandt characterized XLM as a long-shot trade, meaning substantial uncertainty remains. Stellar's longer-term performance will depend on factors including institutional adoption, network activity and broader cryptocurrency market conditions.
