Google might be about eight months away from announcing the next lineup of Pixel phones, but the first details about the Pixel 7 series have leaked already. Most recently, render images allegedly revealing the design of the two upcoming devices hint at the company keeping the camera bar with a few tweaks.
The latest set of 3D renders was shared by leaker xleaks7 and ChooseBestTech, showing that the regular Pixel 7 would still sport the camera bar design. The base model is still expected to sport a dual-camera module on the back placed on the camera bar.
The renders, however, show new details. The two sensors appear to be surrounded by a pill-shaped frame, which was also present in earlier renders shown in a report from SmartPrix (via OnLeaks).

Both leaks also suggest that the camera bar would be directly attached to the side chassis. Note that in the Pixel 6 series, the bar is distinctly separated from the side chassis. In the Pixel 7 Pro renders, a round frame also appears to be surrounding the telephoto sensor.
Aside from these little changes, the rumored design of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is almost identical to their predecessors. That means the selfie camera is likely still placed in a center hole-punch cutout.
Meanwhile, the same ChooseBestTech report claims the regular Pixel 7’s dimensions are 155.6 x 73.1 x 8.7 mm or 11.5 with the camera bar. If these details are accurate, it would mean the upcoming phone would be a tad thinner than the Pixel 6.
The absence of a mounted fingerprint scanner in both leaks also suggests the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will continue using an in-display sensor. The SIM tray appears on the left side of the device, while the power button and volume controls remain on the right side.
More details were leaked recently following an analysis of the Android 13 Developer Preview by developer Cstark27 (via 9To5Google). The code reportedly made references to the potential processor and codenames used for the Pixel 7 series.
The Android 13 code analysis suggests the Pixel 7 lineup would use a new-generation Google silicon that could use a Samsung modem, possibly named Exynos 5300. The modem, which was referred to by its supposed model number “g5300b,” was also linked to the device codenames “Cheetah” and “Panther.” The report believes these are referring to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
