Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat teamed up again for another menu item that customers who prefer plant-based food will surely love. The new menu is set to be unveiled at the said pizza chain restaurant outlets in Canada.
The new menu with Beyond Meat sausage
It was revealed that Pizza Hut will add Beyond Meat’s products as toppings for the plant-based pizza. The flavors that customers can order under the new items include The Great Beyond, described as a specialty pizza with Beyond Italian Sausage Crumble and topped with fresh red onions and banana peppers.
The next flavor is the Beyond Italian Sausage Alfredo Loaded Flatbread. This is a crispy flatbread featuring various toppings like Beyond Italian Sausage Crumble, alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese and roasted red pepper.
The last item in the new Pizza Hut menu is called Beyond Creamy Alfredo. This is a pasta dish with layers of Beyond Italian Sausage Crumble made more delicious by the addition of onions, mozzarella cheese and mushrooms.
Everything has the Beyond Italian Sausage and this is an exclusive topping for Pizza Hut stores only. This was made using plant-based ingredients but offers the flavor and texture of real pork sausage.
Why Pizza Hut Canada is offering these plant-based food items
Pizza Hut teams up with Beyond Meat as it is aware there are customers who want “meatless” menu. There is also a surge in the preference for plant-based options and knowing this, the company just wants to satisfy the cravings of its diners.
Beyond Meat’s vice president of global strategic partnerships, Hameed Jagani added that the addition of the company’s plant-based Italian Sausage to Pizza Hut’s menu simply allows consumers to keep eating the food they like such as pizza and pasta, in a healthy way and without denying them a flavorful taste.
“As Canadians continue to seek convenient ways to incorporate more plant-based protein in their lives, we are excited to partner with Beyond Meat, a leader in plant-based protein, to bring consumers expanded choice across our menus,” Pizza Hut Canada marketing manager, Devon Lawrence, said via press release. “The new Beyond Meat menu items taste incredible and deliver on the iconic Pizza Hut flavor that our fans know and love.”
Finally, Canadify noted that residents of Mississauga, Etobicoke, Milton, Alberta, Oakville and Edmonton can easily order all three of the new items via Pizza Hut’s app. These will be available to customers until supplies last.
