After his reelection, Polymarket odds placed Sen. Jon Ossoff at the top of the early 2028 presidential field, ahead of Vice President JD Vance and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, The Independent reported.
The outlet reported a 24% chance for Ossoff to become the Democratic nominee, up 9% from the previous day. It put his chance of winning the presidency at 18%, compared with 10.5% a day earlier. That probability was four points above Ocasio-Cortez’s and five above Vance’s.
The Independent reported that Ossoff won Georgia’s Senate race against Republican Mike Collins. His vote total exceeded 2.4 million, representing 58.9% of the vote, according to the outlet.
The outlet compared Ossoff with Obama, citing Obama’s oratory and progressive-centrist appeal, and portrayed Ossoff as a younger option in an era of aging presidents.
