A campaign rally featuring former President Barack Obama is scheduled to support two Georgia Democrats ahead of the Nov. 3 election, including Senate incumbent Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms, CBS News reported.
Ossoff, the Democratic incumbent, faces Republican Mike Collins. Bottoms is running against Republican Rick Jackson for governor, according to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of the contests.
Georgia is one of the seats Democrats must defend as they pursue four net Senate gains nationally. Each loss in a state they hold would require another win in a Republican-held state to preserve the same net gain, as EconoTimes explained in its Senate map report.
Obama also campaigned with Ohio Democrats at an Oct. 24 rally in Cleveland, where he criticized Trump administration decisions over household costs. EconoTimes covered Obama’s Ohio campaign appearance. Georgia voters will decide the Senate and governor races Nov. 3.
