“Most of our parents are involved with what their kids are doing in school, but this occasion just re-emphasised how important it is to stay engaged with your children and with the faculty at their school,” says Premier High School of Fort Worth Campus Director Danny Perez. “The turnout was great and the students were proud to show their parents around the school and tell them about the great things they are doing in class.”
In addition to free hot dogs and entertainment, the kids walked away with prizes including backpacks, t-shirts, motivational wristbands and tickets to professional sporting events including FC Dallal prize packs and suite passes to an upcoming Dallas Stars game.
National Parent Involvement Day provides a yearly opportunity for schools and families to honor and highlight the powerful contributions parents and caregivers provide at school and home to support student success..
