India plans a new round of PM-KISAN income support for around 93.4 million farmer beneficiaries Friday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to release the program’s 24th installment at an event in Gujarat.

The official PM-KISAN portal lists Banaskantha as the venue and Oct. 30 as the date. A Government of India event page estimates the planned reach at around 9.34 crore beneficiaries, or about 93.4 million people.

Gujarat Agriculture Minister Jitu Vaghani estimated the national payment at more than Rs 186.8 billion and Gujarat’s share above Rs 10.51 billion. He said the transfer would cover more than 93.4 million farmer families nationwide, including over 5.233 million in Gujarat. The event page gives an approximate recipient count; the rupee totals are Vaghani’s estimates.

PM-KISAN is government-funded support for eligible landholding farmer families. Each family can receive Rs 6,000 over a year, divided into three payments of Rs 2,000, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The money is sent through the Direct Benefit Transfer system.

The previous round, the 23rd installment, was paid on June 20. The Press Information Bureau said it sent more than Rs 188.8 billion to over 94.4 million farmers, including more than 21.8 million women farmers.

Separately, the Union Cabinet approved a Rs 3.15 trillion outlay to continue PM-KISAN from fiscal 2026-27 through 2030-31. That five-year commitment is separate from the payment planned for Oct. 30, the next scheduled transfer in Banaskantha.
