Qatar and France signed a security cooperation plan at a Doha exhibition on Oct. 20, setting out areas for future work on crime, terrorism and public safety, Al Jazeera reported.

The three-year action plan covers 2027 to 2030. It identifies organized crime, drug trafficking and counterterrorism as areas for cooperation, along with security at international events and civil protection.

The signing took place at the 16th Milipol Qatar, which opened at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. The three-day show features more than 270 local and international companies displaying security technology, Al Jazeera reported. First held in 1996, Milipol Qatar runs every two years.

The Doha International Conference on AI and Security is taking place at the same time.
