SAN JOSE, Calif., April 03, 2018 -- Quantenna Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:QTNA), the innovator and global leader of high performance Wi-Fi solutions, today announced ViSiON, a cloud-based service for Quantenna enabled devices to accelerate service provider deployments by using advanced analytics. ViSiON is a field proven cloud service, which has already been deployed in over 10 million nodes worldwide. It provides real-time monitoring of Wi-Fi devices from lab introduction to mass deployment, as well as remote debugging and fine-tuning capabilities.
Current shortcomings in deployment efforts include the inability to properly track key performance indicators of products in the field, and monitor the overall health of the system, resulting in delays, higher operating costs, and compromise on quality of the products. By using ViSiON, service providers are able to shorten time to market, reduce costs and ensure consistent and measurable quality of deployments.
“The current approach of reactive Wi-Fi monitoring is no longer acceptable as it generates user frustration, potential loss of customers for service providers as well as increased IT cost and loss of productivity,” said Adlane Fellah, Senior Analyst at Maravedis. “The objective behind ViSiON is to implement an automated, cloud-based, management system able to monitor the network, and analyze deviations from expected performance. The powerful combination of machine learning and big data running on top of the latest generation of Quantenna’s chipsets promises to deliver an optimal quality Wi-Fi experience resulting in huge savings for Wi-Fi service providers entering new deployments.”
ViSiON’s Web UI provides direct visibility into key Wi-Fi parameters of an individual device or all devices within a network. An added benefit is periodic reports analyzed by the Wi-Fi experts at Quantenna. ViSiON’s analytic reports will be further enhanced by proprietary machine learning and deep analytics algorithms.
ViSiON is supported by all of Quantenna’s chipsets, in particular QSR1000, QSR2000C, QSR10G, as well as the QSR10GU-AX, the world's first dual-band, dual concurrent 8x8 + 4x4 802.11ax 12-stream Access Point solution. These chipsets are shipping to over 50 service providers worldwide, and currently found in a large number of Home Gateways, Repeaters and Set-top boxes in customer homes.
“As a result of increasing number of broadband and connected devices, OTT video is growing exponentially, however, ensuring a quality viewing experience is often hampered by consumer’s in-home Wi-Fi,” said Michael Goodman, Director, TV and Media Strategies at Strategy Analytics. “Quantenna’s ViSiON will enable tools for ensuring optimal Wi-Fi performance by service providers.”
“Through continuous innovation, Quantenna is committed to delivering the best quality Wi-Fi experience, which means not only state-of-the-art chipsets, but also value-added system software and cloud services,” said Dr. Sam Heidari, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Quantenna. “We are excited about introducing ViSiON and we look forward to our customers’ successful deployments and accelerating their time-to-market with unprecedented quality.”
