“Red Dead Redemption 2” is considered by many to be one of the best games that have ever graced the gaming community. IGN scored it with a perfect 10, GamesRadar gave it a perfect 5, and Metacritic praised it with a 97 percent rating.
While some who has yet to play the game may view these positive remarks as an exaggeration, “Red Dead Redemption 2” sincerely deserves all the praise it’s getting. RockStar Games did a remarkable job in fleshing both characters and its world, injecting the game with so many details that border the obsessed.
For instance, the NPCs of “Red Dead Redemption 2” isn’t just your average in-game addition that repeatedly loops in animation. They’re actually living the life of everyday people, following their own routine before retiring for the day.
Youtuber DefendTheHouse actually made a video of this where the gamer documents this very fact, The Verge reported. One NPC is a man who works in the sheep yard and tends to keep to himself. Another is an alcoholic laborer who spends most of his time drinking and working. There’s even a feminist in “Red Dead Redemption 2” that got a Youtuber in trouble.
The issue stems from the fact that the player killed one of the feminist NPCs that is trying to put forward the idea of women being able to vote. After the clip went viral, Youtuber Shirrako got banned by the video-streaming site but was eventually reinstated after further review has been made. These details alone are enough to propel “Red Dead Redemption 2” as one of the best video games ever created.
Of course, RockStar Games didn’t just stop there and added layers upon layers of gameplay and storyline that pulls a player in for hours on end. Numerous walkthrough footage on Youtube is racking up a lot of views, a testament at the success of “Red Dead Redemption 2.”
