Renault Group held to its 2026 financial targets after third-quarter revenue increased, even as vehicle sales declined, with stronger financing revenue and partner-related business helping offset pressure in its automotive unit. The company reported €11.596 billion in revenue for the quarter, up 1.5% from a year earlier and 1.4% at constant exchange rates, in its Oct. 29 release.

Automotive revenue came to €9.835 billion, unchanged on a reported basis and down 0.2% after currency effects. Mobilize Financial Services brought in €1.761 billion, an 11% year-over-year increase. Its average performing assets rose 5% to €62.5 billion; Renault cited asset growth and higher interest rates. The group sold 497,799 vehicles, 6% fewer than in the year-earlier quarter.

Renault’s automotive revenue breakdown showed lower volume subtracting 5.9 percentage points. Sales to partners added 4.9 points, product mix contributed 2.3, pricing added 1.1 and geographic mix added 0.5. The remaining category reduced revenue by 3.1 points, mostly as Retail Renault Group brought inventory back toward normal levels after a low level at June’s end.

The partner-sales contribution included Geely’s expanding business in Brazil. Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd.’s integration added €165 million in Q3 2026 compared with Q3 2025. Electric-vehicle sales increased 84.7%; EVs represented 25.8% of Renault’s European passenger-car sales, up 12.2 percentage points from a year earlier.

For the first nine months of 2026, revenue totaled €41.848 billion, up 7.1% year over year, or 7.6% at constant exchange rates. Reuters reported that a company-compiled analyst consensus had projected a 0.3% decline in third-quarter revenue at constant exchange rates.

Renault reiterated its full-year targets: an operating margin of around 5.5% of group revenue and automotive free cash flow of around €1 billion. It expects a slight margin improvement in the second half versus the first half, while saying inflation and higher raw-material costs will limit the usual seasonal lift. Renault said its second-half product program includes the Sandero Hybrid, New Spring and Striker from Dacia, alongside the Duster E-Tech hybrid, New Megane E-Tech electric and Trafic Van E-Tech electric.
