The reported shift would put a former Unmanned Systems Forces commander in charge of Ukraine’s naval Marines, though the outlets cited no public appointment order.

Interfax-Ukraine said well-informed sources told it that Sukharevskyi would replace Deliatytskyi. Ukrainska Pravda cited an Interfax source and a separate source in Ukraine’s defense forces; it said its source reported that Sukharevskyi had taken up the role. Hromadske also reported the appointment, citing television journalist Yuliia Kyriienko and two defense sources. The reports did not cite an effective date or official announcement.

On Oct. 1, Deliatytskyi said he was handing over leadership of the 30th Marine Corps while remaining in charge of the Ukrainian Navy’s broader Marine Corps command.

Interfax-Ukraine reported that Sukharevskyi led the Unmanned Systems Forces from June 2024. A presidential decree dismissed him from that role on June 3, 2025. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Robert Brovdi had been approved to lead the force and announced Sukharevskyi’s appointment as deputy commander of Operational Command East, with modernization as his priority.
