Rescue crews searched debris in Nairobi on Oct. 23 after a building under construction collapsed, amid reports that people could be trapped, France 24 reported.

The broadcaster’s Oct. 23 segment described the structure as more than 10 stories tall. Nairobi County’s governor’s office said people might be trapped and that the ground floor was occupied.

EconoTimes’ earlier report, citing The Straits Times, placed the site in Eastleigh and described the building as 12 stories tall. France 24 gave a broader height description. A Reuters witness reported seeing rescuers at the site, and Reuters video showed an excavator moving rubble as onlookers watched.
