The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released a scheduled-banks statement on Oct. 30, giving a snapshot of their position in India using Oct. 15 as the reporting date.
The release was titled “Scheduled Banks’ Statement of Position in India as on October 15, 2026.” The publication date was 15 days after the date covered by the statement.
The currency settled at 95.26 per U.S. dollar Thursday. Brent crude futures reached a reported early-session high of $117.84 a barrel Friday.
The ministry’s model put July-September growth at 7.35%, while the Reserve Bank of India forecast 7.1% for the year. The official second-quarter GDP estimate is scheduled for Nov. 30.
The one-gram units are due for redemption Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, with the value tied to gold closing rates from Oct. 27-29.
