SpaceX’s quarterly profit and a higher preliminary sales outlook at Super Micro Computer helped lift U.S. technology shares Oct. 21, with Reuters reporting a 1.05% gain for the Nasdaq Composite.

Nasdaq’s index data showed the Composite closed at 26,702.86. Before the opening bell, Reuters reported that at 5:42 a.m. ET, Nasdaq-100 E-mini futures had climbed 149 points, or 0.50%. Futures tied to the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average were up 0.24% and 0.07%, respectively.

SpaceX reported $14.575 billion in revenue and $4.4 billion in net income for the three months ended Sept. 30. Its Super Intelligence segment generated $7.560 billion in revenue. Capital expenditures totaled $19.593 billion, against $6.880 billion in the year-earlier quarter. Reuters reported SpaceX shares rose 7.8% during the session.

Super Micro Computer estimated fiscal first-quarter revenue of $18.5 billion to $19.5 billion, up from its earlier forecast of $14.5 billion to $15.5 billion. It raised its expected gross margin to 12.0% to 12.5%, from 10.4% to 10.8%, saying the improvement reflected its customer and product mix. The company cited demand for AI platforms as the reason for its higher revenue estimate. These figures are unaudited and may change. Reuters reported that Super Micro shares gained 9.6%.

Netflix forecast fourth-quarter revenue of $13.442 billion, net income of $2.787 billion and an operating margin of 26.0%. It also lowered its 2026 advertising revenue expectation to about $2.7 billion from about $3 billion, citing a slower rollout of some advertising products. Reuters reported Netflix shares fell 5.3% after the company issued its fourth-quarter forecast.

Super Micro Computer has scheduled a call on Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. ET to discuss its fiscal first-quarter results.
