‘Riverdale’ Season 1, Episode 8 Spoilers: “Chapter Eight: The Outsiders” – Betty, Veronica Consider Hosting Polly’s Baby Shower; Jughead Worries About Secret

‘Riverdale’ season 1’s episode 8, titled “Chapter Eight: The Outsiders,” will follow Betty and Veronica as they consider hosting a baby shower for Polly to make her feel better but Polly may have her qualms about it. Meanwhile, Jughead will worry about the effect his exposed secret may have with his friends while Archie will find himself in the dangerous Southside Serpent territory.

The synopsis for “Chapter Eight: The Outsiders” posted on TV Guide reads, “On the verge of starting a construction job, Fred (Luke Perry) loses his crew, which could jeopardize his livelihood, so Archie (KJ Apa) rounds up his friends to pitch in and help, but things don't go well.

With his secret exposed, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) worries about how his friends will take it; Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) consider throwing a baby shower for Polly (Tiera Skovbye), who is apprehensive in light of knowing how everyone feels.”

In the upcoming episode, Betty and Veronica will decide to host a baby shower for Polly, who is pregnant with Jason Blossom’s (Trevor Stines) child. Polly will continue to remain apprehensive about her situation, considering the controversy surrounding Jason’s mysterious death.

According to the recap of episode 7 posted on Entertainment Weekly, the Coopers and the Blossoms found themselves in a wild race to find Polly. Betty finally found her sister hiding in the attic in their house.

Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) initially offered to help take care of Polly but later suspects that her parents may have bad intentions for her. Polly ultimately moves in with the Lodges instead.

Meanwhile, Archie will deal with his own family matters when his father’s construction gig runs into some complications. Fred was about to take on a new project for his construction firm when he loses his crew, prompting Archie to take the lead in pitching in with the help of his friends. However, they will be led to the Southside Serpent territory when one of them is attacked.

Things will also be troublesome for Jughead, whose secret has recently been exposed. He is concerned that this secret may affect their relationship and lead to dire consequences.

‘Riverdale’ season 1’s episode 8, titled “Chapter Eight: The Outsiders,” is scheduled to be released on The CW on March 30, 2017. It was directed by David Katzenberg and written by Julia Cohen. It will be followed by episode 9, titled "Chapter Nine: La Grande Illusion," directed by Lee Rose and scheduled to air on April 6.
