“Riverdale” Season 1 Spoilers: New Promo, Synopsis Tease Jason Blossom’s Killer; Madeleine Petsch Confirms Reveal Will Be On Episode 12 While Madsen Amick Says Revelation “Will Shock Us All”

Molly Ringwald plays Mary Andrews on The CW's 'Riverdale'

A new episode promo and official synopsis for The CW’s addicting teen drama series “Riverdale” seems to indicate that Archie (KJ Apa) and the gang are close to finding out Jason Blossom’s (Trevor Stines) killer.

A promo video for Episode 11 titled “To Riverdale and Back Again” shows how unhappy Jughead (Cole Sprouse) is about the betrayal, Screenrant notes. The betrayal obviously stems from Chuck’s (Jordan Calloway) reveals the pool night encounter he had with Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Betty (Lilli Reinhart). On the other hand, Polly (Tiera Skovbye) uncovers some creepy things at the Blossoms’ mansion, including a glass cabinet full of red wigs. Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch), however, confronts and calls her out. Betty, perhaps tapping into her feisty side, gets bolder than even, especially towards her mom Alice (Madchen Amick).

Meanwhile the synopsis for Episode 12, “Anatomy of a Murder,” read as follows:

“Archie and Veronica are shocked to learn of the arrest but know they need to come clean to their parents about what they uncovered. Still hurt by the betrayal of his friends and torn over who to trust, Jughead reluctantly joins them in a quest for truth. Meanwhile, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) confronts her mom about why she treats her so much worse than she ever did with Jason.”

Petsch earlier confirmed that fans of the series will get to know Jason’s real killer in Episode 12. She fell short of confirming whether the rest of the show’s characters will be also made known or if it’s going to be in the viewer’s perspective only. Amick, on the other hand, told Bustle that she “didn’t see it coming” and that the fans will be truly shocked about who the real killer is.

"Those last few episodes that we read at the table reads, I mean, it was intense. Like, we would all get flushed and out of breath, like, “Oh My God.” It's such a nail biter. I think [the fans] will be shocked; I think they’re going to like it," she said.

“Riverdale” Season 1 continues on April 27 on The CW.
