Robinhood Markets is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities with the launch of “Robinhood Agents,” a new feature designed to help retail investors analyze markets, develop trading strategies, and execute trades using AI.
The online brokerage unveiled the technology at its HOOD Summit on Tuesday, marking another step in its push to integrate AI-powered investing tools directly into its platform. Robinhood said customers will be able to create personalized AI agents without requiring technical expertise or complicated setup.
A key feature called “Loops” will allow Robinhood Agents to continuously monitor financial markets and carry out predefined investment strategies. The system is intended to automate parts of the trading process while allowing investors to retain control over how their agents operate.
Robinhood Agents will function through dedicated accounts. Customers can establish trading limits and configure their agents to require approval before executing transactions, providing safeguards around automated trading activity.
At launch, the AI agents are capable of placing long orders across equities, options, and cryptocurrencies. The feature could broaden access to agentic trading technology, which has increasingly attracted attention as artificial intelligence becomes more deeply integrated into financial services and investment platforms.
The announcement builds on Robinhood’s AI initiatives introduced earlier this year. In May, the company launched tools that enabled third-party AI agents to connect with its trading platform through the Model Context Protocol, or MCP. Robinhood is now bringing similar capabilities directly into its app, potentially making AI-driven trading more accessible to everyday investors.
The Robinhood Agents launch also comes as the brokerage expands its range of products aimed at active traders. Recent initiatives include weekend stock trading, perpetual futures, and other advanced trading services.
By combining automated market monitoring, AI-generated strategies, and trade execution, Robinhood is positioning artificial intelligence as a growing part of its retail investing ecosystem while giving users controls over how much authority their AI agents have.
