Robinson denied intending to intimidate the two journalists during testimony in his harassment trial, while saying he used private investigators to locate them and that photographs of their homes were meant to pressure them, The Guardian reported Oct. 22.
Robinson, whose legal name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, faces two counts of harassment causing fear of violence involving MailOnline reporters Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber. He has pleaded not guilty, as EconoTimes reported when the trial opened.
Prosecutors have said the alleged conduct followed MailOnline’s coverage of Robinson’s Cyprus trip and included photographs taken at the reporters’ homes and related images shared on X, according to EconoTimes’ account of the trial’s opening. The Guardian also reported that the case involved images of one journalist’s wife and daughter being shared. The trial continued after Robinson’s testimony, the newspaper said.
